This week I’ve begun to get back to normal. I’ve updated my website. Maybe now I can complete that revamp I started two months ago. Nothing major, just a couple of behind the scenes things to make life easier. I’ve completed some new work on the Lifetips self publishing site and I’ve got to quote for a couple of major jobs. I’m also starting to work on the revamped InspiredAuthor – specifically on my freelance writing pages. There’s some new content coming to go with new look. Watch this space – I’ll keep you posted

The Small Things In Life

Since I moved, I’ve been thankful for the things we take for granted. Things like beds – you don’t appreciate a real bed till you’ve slept for two weeks on a lumpy airbed and had backache every day. And living room furniture – we sat on pieces of cardboard for two weeks and garden chairs for another two – and those garden chairs felt pretty luxurious, I can tell you. Then it was a fridge and a microwave – cold drinks and hot food.
The point I’m making is that we can survive without a lot that we take for granted, but also that we appreciate them more when we’ve done without them. I haven’t watched any television in six weeks. I’m looking forward to being thankful for that. In the meantime, I’ve spent my spare time (what spare time?) on reading, which is one of my first loves. I’m always thankful for that.
