It’s sometimes nice to talk about a product you really believe in – and I have the chance to do that today with Clicky. What is Clicky, you may ask? Well, it’s only one of the most user friendly web stats packages I have come across.
OK, it’s not the only one I use. I used Metrics till that went belly up, but it never provided me with much that was useful. I have trackers from MyBlogLog and others – and of course I use Google Analytics. But the reason I like Clicky best is because it gives me the statistics I need about my website in a fashion I can understand. No messing about with log files or any of that stuff. Just an easy to understand interface (screenshot) that gives you all the info you could possibly need about your site.
Want to find out what your top pages are on a daily basis? You can with Clicky. Want to see who’s linking to your site? You can with Clicky. Want to see what people are searching for when they find your site? Clicky does that too. And these things are in the free level, which is available to sites with less than 1,000 page views a day.
There’s a premium level at about $1.25 a month, which I consider a small price to pay for being able to see who’s visiting my site in real time. I love the interface, because I can have all the important info on my site at a glance. There’s a navigation tab across the top which gives you more info on each section, such as the location of your visitors and how long each of them spent on the site.
The other thing I like about Clicky is that they are quick to respond to user feedback and add new features, such as ignoring your visits to your own site, no matter what IP address they appear to come from. And there’s more in store, they say. I can’t wait to see what Clicky comes up with next.
