My daughter is four (or four and a half as she insists). This morning she ‘wrote’ this song. All I did was write it down – the words are hers.
I wish I lived in the sky
I wish I lived in the sky
But we are human beings
So we don’t live in the sky
If I was in a flying boat
I could jump onto the moon
I suspect that she’s been influenced by my hubby’s love of the Beatles.

That’s great Sharon. My 11-year-old grandson enjoys writing poetry. He has one humorous poem that makes me smile every time I hear it, and I’m encouraging him to enter it in a contest.

Hi, I like your site, found it on blogcatelog. We have recently opened a new Ezine for short story and flash fiction writers that I thought you would be interested in.
Check out http://shortstory.us.com if you have some stories you would like to submit for review for future releases or if you are looking for some good quality reads to help pass the time!

That is so cute. And disconcertingly deep for a four-year-old. I’m impressed.

Yeah I would say a bit less yellow submarine and a bit more Dora?

Thanks, everyone. I’m very proud of her. She has kept on writing since – I’ve got a couple of short stories that she has dictated to me.
